FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

My child has never done theatre before– is that OK?

Of course! This camp is open to all experience levels.

What are the hours of OWTS?

Our Administration hours are 8AM – 5 PM Central Time for calls and emails. For 8-10 year olds, the hours are 9 AM -12 PM Central Time. For 11-13 year holds, the hours are 1-4 PM Central Time.

Where can I find detailed program information and updates?

Most of our necessary details can be found on our website. Our administrator will be sending further information upon registration.

What is the capacity of each program?

We have a maximum enrollment number of 12 kids per session.

How much do OWTS camps cost?

Our camps cost $400 per 2-week session. People can get 10% off this price if they refer friends. Full and partial scholarships are also available for students. Please email admin@owtstheatre.com for more information.

What is the cancellation policy?

If a session is cancelled by OWTS, the full fee will be refunded. Campers may withdraw from the program up to the final enrollment date and will be given a full refund. Cancellations made later than this date will are only entitled to credits available for use in a later session. Any payments made (deposit or full payments) after this time will not be refunded.

When can we see what our kids have been doing?

Every program culminates in a final zoom performance that will showcase your child, and what they have been working on during our 2-week session. We will also update you every night post class with an email from our administrator summarizing everything we did that day, and the schedule for the next day.

What if my child is sick?

Please email admin@owtstheatre.com as soon as possible so we can adjust our daily schedule accordingly.

What should my kids wear?

Clothes that they feel comfortable moving in!

What should my kids have with them?

Kids are only required to have access to internet/zoom as well as a pencil and notebook for activities. If possible, we also recommend dedicating a room with ample space for your child to move around in.

Can my child sign up for more than one camp?

Absolutely! Your child can participate in as many camp sessions as desired.

Should I (as a parent) sit in on classes?

No, that is not required. Please know that we, as instructors, are doing everything we can to engage our students but given the virtual space, we have limited control over campers if behavioral issues are to arise.

Is daily, full attendance mandatory?

Yes. All of On With the Show’s programming is cumulative. Consistent attendance ensures the best experience for all participants.

Will parents be able to watch rehearsals?

You may be in the same room as your child while the camp is in session, but we would prefer if you did not interfere with the students during the zoom sessions unless an emergency arises.

I have signed up through the registration link, how do I pay?

We will send you an email with payment information. We accept payment through PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, or check through the mail – whatever works best for you!

Will we need to provide anything at home as props?

We won’t be requiring any purchases. Some activities might require household items.

What if I don’t know how to use zoom?

No worries! We will be holding an open house one week before the program begins for parents to meet us as well as get accustomed to zoom. We will give a zoom tutorial, take parents through our lessons, and answer any last questions parents have.
